Hi all,
I am wondering if I can ask you guys a question. I am interviewing with a
management consulting firm for a manager position. They asked my desired
salary. First time I said market average would be fine.
Now they asked again and I think I need to give some numbers this time. Do
you happen to have a clue on what would be a good range to tell them?
I found three sources of information,
1. the average base salary for first year out of MBA in top management
consulting firms is $135K;
2. my current base salary, $85K, is comparable to $134K in Queens, or $118K
in Nassau, in terms of living cost;
3. the average base salary for the manager position at this firm is $110K
according to glassdoor.com, while the highest being $120K.
Can I give them a range of $120K~$150K base? Or maybe $130K~$150K since my
bottom line is $120K?
Should I also give them my source of information?
Thanks a lot! | G*******l 发帖数: 2575 | 2 If I were you I will give $130K~$150K and leave out the reasons unless they
ask.
