Men in IT are like men everywhere.
they all have a sense of territory.
At the new company, there are invisible
territories. New people needs to respect that,
and make sure he/she doesn't accidentally
violate previous respected territory.
that's why it's unwise to switch jobs too quickly,
and without considering all aspects of new job
compared to the old job: management chain,
your reputation/trust or lack of reputation/trust, connection
or lack of connection, family. All are more
important than the salary.
the cost of switching jobs is much higher than
recruiter will tell you. Recruiters are interested
in their own bonus, so don't look to them for career
advice.
In the same way, lying and reneging on promises
are much more expensive than anyone will tell you.
It's the easiest way to predict whether you will be
out of a job in 3 years.
Good luck!
822 | 5 Many of my friends say changing jobs is the best way to get higher salary
and promotion. I saw many of them do this and the outcome is pretty
handsome. One the other side, staying at the old company, even if you work
hard like a cow, the promotion is limited because the company don't want to
spend more money on you, unless you you have a better offer, they will
realize you worth more than what you got.

up your current company and has little to learn.
