另一条游览路线是沿via dell’abondanza(丰裕路)走下去, 沿途根据路标选择有兴趣的
地方看. 这条路最终通往一座很大的水陆斗兽场(Amphitheater). 斗兽场保存得较好, 整
体感较强. 坐在里面台阶上, 吹着风,眺望不远的群山, 是一种享受. 觉得古庞培人真会
选择地点. 不过关于这个斗兽场, 还有一段不那么美丽的故事. 据公元1世纪的古罗马历
史学家塔西陀记载, 尼禄皇帝在位年间(51-64), 有位元老在这个斗兽场举办大型角斗演
出. 演出不但吸引了众多本地观众还吸引了邻城纽切里亚(Nuceria)的居民前来观看. 然
而, 不知为何, 两地观众发生了口角, 进而演化成武斗, 双方各有死伤. 这桩暴力事件惊
动了罗马, 尼禄皇帝盛怒之下, 下诏庞培城10年之内不得举行角斗演出, 其严厉程度有如
今日禁止意大利人看足球. 庞培人动用了种种关系, 最终通过皇后的干预使得禁令提前结
束. 在庞培城发现的一些壁画和涂鸦证实了这段记载的真实性. 除了公元63年所发生的地
震之外, 这可能是公元79年庞培城最终被火山爆发物淹埋之前影响最大的事件了 |

Ha, the answer would depend on what you mean by 希腊. If it means the modern
country Greece, no, I haven't been there. But if it means the regions within
the orbit of ancient Greece, then, yes.
Southern Italy was heavily influenced by Greek culture from a very early time.
In fact, it was colonized by the Greeks before the Latin culture began to
penetrate from the second and the first century BC on. The city of Pompeii was
under Greek influence before it became a Roman colony.

The Acropolis. No. In fact, all my friends who have visited Athens say that it
is not a particularly nice city. Too hot and messy.
I kind of worry about the coming Olympic games.

The columns of the Parthenon are of the Doric style. I actually prefer this
simpler style. But it
seems that the Ionian style and the Corinthian styles are more popular in the
modern world. Well, of course, the choice of the styles will also have to
depend on the functions of the buildings.
There are also those columns in the shape of silighly kneeling females. There
are examples of these in Athens. In an imperial villa near Rome, such columns

Ionian and Cornthian styles appeared in Chinese Residential Community design
than in western countries.
