the Oct 2004 - Oct 2005 quota should be used up way before July of 2005;
unless u find a job in Univ or nonprofit organizations, u will have to wait
for the H1B quota begins at Oct 2005. that means even if u find a job in July,
u can not work between Aug 1(end of ur OPT) to Oct 1 of 2005.
July should be ok to apply for the H1b which starts at Oct 1 2005.
why ur OPT is only 7 months? if u got 12 months' opt, u should have no problem
applying for H1B while working with u
