1. The first page of your menu is the wine section. Don't bother,
skip it. You don't want to order wine. You shouldn't. You can't,
anyway. You won't be able to pronounce any of the wine name
correctly. An American would be able to pronounce about 1-2
of them, which are the ones they always going to order, which are
the ones the restaurant actually having in stock.

今年的新年愿望就是吃一顿法国大餐。但总不敢去,怕人家要求穿西
装,怕看不懂菜单,怕种种的礼节。于是每次有机会就是吃中餐,或
者吃意大利餐。终于周末找了个胆大的朋友,打定了主意去东村吃法
国餐。还特地去看了场芭蕾来熏陶自己的情操(那个另外说,原来以
为高雅的东西,原来是纯粹的道德败坏!)
之前还特地上MSN查了CityGuide呢。最后还不是在街上看见一家Fren
ch Bistro,就进去了。这里到底是美国,哪里有那么多懂规矩的人
?招待是说法语,我一瞪眼她还不是得乖乖地说英文。菜单也简单,
每个Course也就那么四五道,自然都是有英文的。唯一的问题就是法
国单词不太容易发音。就用手指就是了。去上一堂法语入门是有必要
的。酒的名字虽然繁复,但喝白酒红酒总好说吧?喝整瓶的话,稍微
了解一下闻cork的套路就可以了。
终于了了一个心愿,好好地吃了完整的Three Course Dinner外加一
瓶红酒。不过一句话,法国菜真的是好吃,不是盖的,我是赞不绝口
。什么洋人的饭比不上中餐?都是扯淡!吃完用面包把盘子都擦干净
给吃了。
