A Long, Slow Look at Jupiter
A spacecraft's dress rehearsal for an encounter with Saturn next year has yielded
unexpectedly rich findings about Jupiter. While flying past Jupiter, the Cassini mission
took tens of thousands of images that planetary scientists have assembled into
startling movies. Among the surprises are banded jets that persist in the atmosphere
near Jupiter's poles
