可怜九月初三夜， 露似真珠月似弓。
the sunset broke itself floating down the river,
it stained half of the river in red,
and greened the other.
pathetic! the third night of September,
bow-shaped new moon dear,
did you just drop a tear?
沉夕斜河轻，
红影绿波飘。
怜夜九月三，
问卿悲残月，
原是新月故。
the wacky river lost more weight than the fat sun.
