想来想去 break-in 之后还是要在 scheduled maintenance 之外再换次油。BMW
Mountain View 的零件部，oil filter 卖17刀。太黑了。
还有 3-series 是不是很费机油啊？前不久居然出个警告信息，说机油过低。又添了一

if you already got a low oil level warning just after break-in, something mu
st be wrong. check with the dealer first.

When the new piston rings brush against the new cylinder walls during the break-in period, the result is a lot of tiny scrap metal particles, and they are suspended in the oil. It's a good idea to flush away these tiny metal particles rather than circulating them back to the cylinders and letting them scratch away the cylinder walls.

发帖数: 3888 | 14 今天把油换了。还算顺利。最艰难的步骤是把车举起来。我的 ramps 角度太大，335前面太低，开不上去。
第二个难关是发动机盖打开后，看着 oil filter 突然想起来忘了买 filter wrench。晕倒。只好空手拧，居然拧下来了。
不知道是不是因为老了，今天笨手笨脚的，两次把机油弄洒到发动机上。心疼啊，猛擦。不知道用掉了多少抹布。本来应该添6.5夸特的油。因为洒了很多油，最后第7瓶只留了差不多0.1夸特。On-board oil level indicator 正好是 Max。 |
