up short in the national title game against a Carolina team that seemed
destined from jump to win the thing. When you get that close and don't close
the deal, inevitably there's a feeling of disappointment and missed
opportunity. However, no sane MSU fan can look at last year with anything
but fondness. MSU won its first Big Ten title since 2001 and did it in style
