Festival received official word from the National Park Service that in the
event of a government shutdown, based on a decision from the Office of
Management & Budget, permits will not be honored, affecting the Parade. All
possible avenues will be pursued to move ahead with the Parade as scheduled.
In the event of a government shutdown, the Blossom Kite Festival and
performances at Sylvan Theater on the Washington Monument grounds will be
postponed. |
