今天LD上班，被警察逮了。这条路早上很拥挤，虽然限速40，但是基本上都达不到。LD
跟着前面的车，在一个丁字路口停下了（此路口没有红绿灯）。旁边窜出一警察，开了
一个上庭的ticket，理由是没有following sign （do not block intersection）。LD
说，在同一个地点，埋伏了好几个警察，后面陆续有人以同样的理由被抓。这条路是主
要的commute route，一般都很挤的，速度都很低，大家一般都跟的很紧，在这种没有
红绿灯的路口很容易就跟上去了。
请大家帮忙分析一下，在庭上应该怎么样辩解？另外，这种ticket严重吗？是否会被扣
分，会影响保险吗？

There might be a document telling you under what circumstance you will be
issued how many points.
Usually, insurance company will give you first point forgiveness.
If you won't get point based on insurance documents, it is not necessary to
go to court.

Go to VA DMV website. I believe moving violation is 3 points min. Failed to
obey signs, failed to yield, simple speeding and etc.

发帖数: 24 | 7 If this is the first ticket, when you go to the court, even if you admit
guilty, the judge probably would waive your points, and reduce the fine.
If you do not admit gulity and argue for that, even if the judge think you
are guilty, he might still waive the points.
So going to court is much better than just pay the ticket. But you gotta pay
the court fee I guess, the total fee (reduced fine + court fee) might be
more than the original ticket.
