28 gallon Nano Cube HQI Aquarium

JBJ Lighting is proud to offer the 28 gallon Nano-Cube HQI, boasting a
whopping 5.35 watts of power per gallon. Combined with a German parabolic
reflector, it casts sparkling, shimmering rays to every corner of the
aquarium. The 28 gallon Nano-Cube HQI is definitely the choice for hobbyists
who intend to keep hard corals, Small Polyp Stony (SPS) corals, and clams.
The 28 gallon Nano-Cube HQI comes equipped with (1) 150 watt Double-ended
14000癒 HQI metal halide lamp for daytime photoperiods and (4) Nite-Vu LED's
for nocturnal photoperiods. The independent Nite-Vu LED power cord allows
convenient timer operation. Nite-VU LED's are strategically placed on all
four corners to evenly distribute moon lighting throughout the aquarium. All
LED's are pre-wired individually with their own plug for easy replacement.
The Nite-Vu LED's consume less than 1 watt of power but are strong enough to
illuminate nocturnal behaviors of aquarium inhabitants.
Stay Cool
The canopy is made of flame retardant ABS plastic. The four cooling fans are
paired on two separate circuits so in the event where one set of fans lose
performance or fail, another set of fans will be running. In addition, a
thermal protector is incorporated into the canopy. In the event where all
the fans fail, the thermal protector will automatically shut off the HQI
lighting until temperatures reach safe conditions.
Easy Feeding
The new feeding lid is lighter than the previous Nano-Cube full-front lid.
This feature grants quick and easy access for feeding and retrieving water
samples without lifting the entire hood.
Smart Filtration
The newly designed filter begins with water entering the center overflow.
The water is then directed into the new 3-stage Filter Media Basket, which
comes installed with a mechanical filter sponge, chemical activated carbon,
and biological ceramic rings.
The unique 3-stage Filter Media Basket can host a variety of chemical filter
media to suit your needs. Cleaning or replacing media is especially easy,
since all you have to do is lift the Filter Media Basket handle to remove
the entire Filter Media Basket. Sliding door on the Filter Media basket
allows convenient access to media.
Once the water passes through the Filter Media basket, it is diverted into
the heater column to the left and the protein skimmer to the right of the
Filter Media Basket. The diverted water overflows into the pump water
columns. Water from the Pump Columns is then directed back into the main
aquarium via two powerheads rated at 266 gph each. The 28 gallon Nano-Cube
HQI includes the Ocean Pulse Duo Wavemaker, which creates turbulent currents
for a more natural reef environment. The wavemaker can be set on
alternating cycles ranging from 10 seconds to 6 minutes. 2 directional
return nozzles on each side of the center overflow allow even, natural
currents.
Improved Integrated Canopy
The larger 28 gallon Nano-Cube HQI offers more space for live rock, corals,
and fish. The newly expanded rear filtration compartments provide convenient
, open access while preserving the clean, stylish appearance of this
integrated aquarium system. This revolutionary design allows easy access for
modifications without having to work within the space constraints of the
canopy.
Rear Filtration Access
The rear filtration area of the 28 gallon Nano-Cube HQI is open. This
feature grants full access to the filtration equipment without having to
lift the integrated canopy. A special baffle design keeps water temperatures
more stable. Also, this open design means convenient installation of an
optional chiller. The chiller inlet and outlet tubes can be fitted easily
without having to cut openings into the rear of the canopy.
