helpfull, but I spoke to a good one just a few minutes ago that looked up
the inventory for the XPS 8100 and I was able to order one for $649 plus
applicable tax. Learned about calling in from an old SD post on that
discussed waiting until the frenzie for the specials cooled down. Tell them
this is for a call in only special. They have to be the exact item and
color (i.e., the Sony Vaio netbook, I got for $249.00 is only in White).
Here is the info and the link I was just provided (even though the link says
Dec 2010, they still use this for pricing) These are regular prices once
you call ask for the reduced (sale) prices. This is phone in only so you

Note they have many others on this page still available other tha the XPS
8100, I was also able to order the XPS 14 laptop (they had 5 left) from the
other day when they were $599.00 plus tax.
Then call the Microsoft Store at 877-696-7786.
