I have been a verizon wireless customer for several years. I was just on the
phone with customer service to downgrade my data plan from corporate ($44.
99) to the $29.99 unlimited data plan. At the end of the call the customer
service rep said my account qualified for a customer loyalty promotion and
discounted my data plan by $9.99 per month (for a year). I asked if there
were any strings attached or anything and he said no... I was informed that
the promotion is done through the Veizon loyalty department and if your
account qualifies it pops up on the customer service reps computer. There is
no way to tell in advance unfortunately.
I had no idea this existed. It might be worth others calling....
Initially, I called *611 from my phone and selected option 4 and said I
wanted to change my plan.
