Murakami's second novel and has NEVER been published in the United States.
Prices for the novel were outrageous because of this (Murakami has been
hailed by some as the greatest storyteller of the generation) ranging from $
800 to $1000.
I check for this book every so often since I'm a huge Murakami fan and,
finally, it seems like the book has gone into a second printing in JAPAN
ONLY. HOWEVER, I did some research and found some other good places to get
it.

site, as I was.
The book is also available through amazon.co.jp for only $9 but the shipping
kills the deal since to ship to the USA from Japan ran me $40--that wasn't
going to happen.
It's nice to finally be able to own a copy of this book to complete my
Murakami collection. Murakami fans rejoice!
