Store:
http://shop.nikonusa.com/store/nikonusa/en_US/pd/productID.2134
is selling refurbished version of the popular 35mm AF-S DX prime lens for
$167.42 with shipping (taxes extra: there are in NY, but not in NJ).
This lens is very difficult to find nowadays, and is the only prime lens
made specifically for the DX format (low-end Nikons like the D3100) that's
remotely affordable. Used ones are going for $220 and new ones around $250
on ebay, not including shipping. A 50mm AF-S (= built-in motor) lens is
about to replace it, but it's not for the DX format, and is gonna have a
telephoto-ish focal length of 75mm on a DX camera.
I jumped on this without finding out about the quality of Nikon's
refurbishing process is, but the fact that they are doing it and not some
third party is enough for me to go on for now.
