I have the AT-1 Mountain bike and can vouch that it is of considerably
better quality than the best bike you'll get at a department store. Nashbar
configured it so it's highly upgradeable. It can become a pretty serious MB
for not much more $$ or parts.
I can't speak for the Single-speed roadbike but I think you'd be hardpressed
to build a decent SS even if you had a free, ss-compatible frame for the
same $$.
Anyway, there it is. Usually you'll find these bikes for about $219 + free
shipping or 20% off but rarely both so this is about as cheap as it gets.
Yes, we're on the waning end of the bicycle season but that's why it's on
sale. Enjoy
