I've been watching this good looking knife and its price for the last 5 or 6
months. It just dropped to its lowest price point on Amazon ever so I bit
the bullet finally.
I like high quality things, so even though I'm not an avid outdoorsman, and
I probably will not end up using this knife 24/7 (maybe on some camping
trips) but it has everything I was looking for in a pocket knife
- Smaller, really narrow, lightweight design which makes it easily
pocketable. 3 oz - 3inch blade (4" closed)
- Has the SpeedSafe assisted opening mechanism for one handed
switchbladesque opening
- Also made of a really high quality stainless steel alloy and a hard tool
steel blade edge ("durability and corrosion resistance of 14C28N and the
toughness and wear resistance of CPM-D2" CPM-D2 is a crazy hard tool steel
that can take a lot of abuse due to its high hardness, but takes a long time
to sharpen (sort of the ol' give and take)
-Be aware that the CPM-D2 may not be as rust/corrosion resistant as the rest
of the blade since it is a tool steel. People report really good things
about it, but just wanted to let everyone know it isn't 100% Stainless
But yeah, this is for those of you with an alert for kershaw blades I guess
