I just received this today and am very pleasantly surprised how nice it is.
It's listed for the "The CruzTM Tablet from Velocity" but the only review is
5 stars and by a Nook Tablet owner who wrote "My Nook fits perfectly into
it and with the pocket for the cable, ac plug and earbuds".
It fits the Nook Color very well too as they are virtually the same size.
The straps hold it securely with very little play although I could see using
this without the straps. Although the elastic straps on the left side go
over the power and volume buttons (see attached pic), they don't seem to
trigger them and they're easy to slide away for access although I found I
can just push through them. The speakers, poor already, are probably useless
while in the case.
The foam padding is on both sides and is high density that seems to slowly
regain it's shape after pushing into it with a finger. The nylon is
surprisingly nice and the zippers look good and operate smoothly. The pouch
is big enough for the charger, cable and a set of ear buds, micro SD cards,
etc. The micro USB cable connects while in the case with little side
pressure on it although I'd suggest pushing on the case a little while
attaching it and being careful while it's attached.
Downsides are no handle and it could be a little smaller and thinner at the
expense of some loss of protection.
It's easy to use in the case and my NC might wind up living in it
permanently.
I don't know how many they have in stock but I was able to add 30 to my cart
as a test. Shipping changed a little per case when adding more but not by
much ie 2 cases for $9.50. I ordered on 12/19 at 3 PM CDT and it arrived 12
/23. They used UPS Mail Innovations (UPS+USPS delivery).
Sorry for the poor pic but I didn't pull out the DSLR and flash. Straps on
right side are plastic (top and bottom) and elastic on the left side. Wish
they were all elastic although the plastic probably holds it better.
If you have a Nook Color/Tablet and like the style, in my humble opinion
this is an awesome deal at $5. If I'd seen it in a store at $15, I would
probably have bought it.
