I got a mailer offering free silver status on Virgin Atlantic's Flying Club
(frequent flyer program). This might be for new members only... it worked
for me.
Silver entitles you to:
An extra 25% of the miles that you fly
Use of Premium Economy check in whenever you fly
It looks like this membership is good for a year, and renewal is based on
whether or not you flew enough that year (you need 10 "tier points").
