As a result of a Class Action Lawsuit against United Healthcare Corp. all
members that have the Empire Insurance plan are entitled to a settlement of
$50 for every year you were enrolled in the plan between the years 1994
through 2009. The Class Action suit revolved around United Healthcare
giving insufficient reimbursemen t for out of network services and/or
individual out of pocket expenses.
