Sweeten the deal by buying 2 and using the Facebook 10 off 25 coupon to
bring price down to $10 each. Coupon codes can be found by searching this
forum. These tables normally list for $30. This table seems to be the
exact same table as the Black and Decker Workmate 125 that lists for even
higher.
Folks there are some poor reviews for this product but consider how little
you are paying for it. For $10 each, it cost less than saw horses. For
that price, I was willing to take the chance and happy I did. The quality
is not bad even at $30 each. The bad reviews mainly come from those who had
issues putting it together. If you can put it together, then this is a
really good deal. There are only 6 steps so how hard can it be, right?
haha
Here are some tips for putting it together:
1. Everything should fit (it did for me) so do not force it together or you
may break something. All the holes are at the right places and did not
require drilling any new holes. It may appear wrong but it's not. If it
doesn't seem right, then you're probably not doing it right.
2. Don't overtighten or you may break something. You may want to wait to
snug up everything until near the end. It's relatively sturdy and good
quality once it's put together.
3. The diagrams in the Assembly Instruction are great. Study them before
proceeding each step.
4. The following assembly tips are relative to the steps in the Assembly
Instruction:
Step 1 - The left and right leg frame were labled incorrectly on my kit.
It should be switched if you look at it from the vantage point with the
handles towards the front. Open up the scissor legs first. If the width of
the front legs are narrower than the hind legs, then you got it right. The
cross beam with the "Task Force" print is shorter and goes in the front.
Step 3 - Part HH, white plastic sleeve, is actually a spacer. It's not
really a sleeve. It goes between the leg and top bracket. It doesn't go
inside the top bracket.
Step 4 - Before hammering the pin to secure the handle, try it on first
with only the handle and then only the top bracket to make sure the pin and
hole is oriented correctly. The smaller end of the pin goes in first.
Step 5 - Do not tighten Nut GG. It needs to remain loose so the vise
can travel freely.
Step 6 - The screws are cheap. The heads are easily stripped. I
stripped 2 but thats OK because there are 4 screws holding each bracket.
You may want flip the table upside down at this point for better access.
You can substitute better screws if you have them on hand.
It was fun putting to put it together. Good luck!
