From maybe a pure technique point of view, one big challenge the writer and
the director of the movie “Before Sunset” faced was to sustain. Basically,
it’s a movie about two people doing nothing except for walking and talking
for a good hour and half, without much plot development in between. How to
sustain the chemistry, to keep the audience engaged, without fading from an
idea already dangerously close to a romantic cliché into a self-important
