c*****t 发帖数: 749 | 1 Another bad news. My nurse called me today that I have a borderline high TSH
. And my doctor wants me to start a medicine to lower TSH (don't remember
the name). But I still want to have another test or even a second opinion
before rushing to take any medicine.
If anyone knows a good reproductive endocrinologist around NJ or NY, please
let me know. Thanks very much! |
m*********e 发帖数: 216 | 2 Borderline TSH is not a big deal. Many MM including myself have it.
The med is small dose of thyroid hormone. Little side effects were report .
RE usually would like TSH be control lower than 2.5, but not too low (<0.5).
It takes at least a month for the medicine to has effect . Monthly blood
tests
should be done during first a few months.
Doc may adjust the dosage if TSH is not reduced enough or too much.
Don't worry. Compared to many other difficulties in getting pregnant, this
one
is almost t |

c*****t 发帖数: 749 | 4 Thanks so much for MM's response. My TSH is 2.7. That's why my doctor wants
to put me on Synthroid. Did you take this also?
I have high FSH (>20) as well. I searched for any relation between high FSH
and TSH. It seems that it is not uncommon. But don't know what is the root
cause.
