Whoever wins the Notre Dame quarterback competition won't get a chance to
ease into his new job.
Notre Dame plays host to Georgia Tech in its season opener before going on
back-to-back road trips to Penn State and Michigan. The schedule doesn't get
any easier until November.
The first nine opponents on Notre Dame's schedule posted a combined record
of 78-40 last season. Eight of Notre Dame's first nine foes played in bowl
