我觉得小孩对钱有基本概念, 又有需求, 就想办法设立个系统好了. 我的原则是, 有些
事情是该做的, 比如吃饭, 穿衣, 写作业等, 都做了, allowance才能拿到. 做不到一
项, 扣多少钱. 有些事情是above and beyond的, 做了有bonus. 至于具体的事项和钱
数, 你还是根据自家情况决定吧. 另外, 自从设立了这么个系统之后, 我家小子再在超
市里拎包糖纠缠着要我买, 我就让他自己出钱, 因为是说好了的! 哈!

we don't give regular allowance, but if they do extra chores, we do give
them some bonus money. For example, we give 50 cents per time for them
folding clothes for daddy or mommy.
