交市长Adrian Fenty签名，而市长日前已经承诺签名。
之后签名的提案将送交congress投票，这将是该提案获得通过的最后步骤。
如果congress通过该提案，DC将在St. Patrick's Day开始发放结婚证。
在此之前，Massachusetts, Connecticut, Iowa和Vermont已经通过同性婚姻，New
Hampshire将在一月开始同性结婚登记。此外，Maine, New York两个州的同性婚姻提

Weddings for gay couples could generate as much as $22 million for
Washington, D.C.'s economy over the next three years, according to city's
Office of the Chief Financial Officer.
The study estimates that more than 10,000 same-sex couples from across the
country would come to the nation's capital to get married over the next
three years, according to The Washington Post.
