在这个世界上存在一个小岛，岛上蕴藏着巨大的能量，足以改变磁场、颠倒时间。
然而，由于人类的本性是贪婪的，因此，一旦有人发现了这个能量，就会给世界带来无
比的灾难。（就像就像人类发现了核能，也由此带来了原子弹）
基于此，必须有人对这种能量进行守护，防止其被人类发现并滥用。最早的守护者是谁
已经不重要了，重要的是，这样的守护一直不断地进行下去。由于岛上几乎没人，守护
者必须要坚持很久才行，而岛上的能量足以让守护者长生。结合剧情，应当是喝了水的
结果，流向光源洞穴的溪水带有某种能量（参见最后一集，光在则水流，光灭则水涸，
可见水与光相通），但凡守护者，都需要饮下这溪水，以与岛共生，直到有接班人到来
。
很久以后，当守护者的重任交到一个女性的手中时，一场风暴带来了一个船队，有一个
孕妇与船队失散，漂泊到岛上，守护者救了这个孕妇，为她接生下一对双生儿，之后杀
死了孕妇，因为她知道，这一对双生儿就是她的接班人，
