you want to read, then kindle beats ipad. ipad beats kindle in every other

发帖数: 657 | 5 First of all, I would like to say that here I merely want to state some
facts objectively.
1. ipad and kindle actually belong to different product categories.
2. ipad can be used majorly for reading books, browsing internet, watching
movies, playing some games; kindle, on the other hand, can only be used to
read books that when changing font size will not affect the book format (So
it's not good for magzines, pdf files). The so claimed internet browsing on
kindle is really painful to use.
3. as comparing to laptop, ipad is way better than it in terms of internet
browsing. as for reading books, ipad is also better than a laptop because
the smooth scrolling and easy zoom in and out with your fingers.
4. In my opinion, if you want sth majorly for reading, get a kindle (the
eink is really nice for your eyes).If you want to read from time to time but
hang on mitbbs, popyard all the time, get an ipad. | c**t

发帖数: 657 | 11 1.If you just want to read, kindle3 is better than DX because k3 is less
than half the weight of DX. So it's much more comfortable to hold for a long
time.
2.The advantage of DX is the big screen. I have a DX and thought it would be
great for reading PDF files. I was wrong. DX can be used to read PDF
documents, but it still not convenient. 9.7 inch screen is still small for a
whole page, and if you use it sideways, you have to scroll up and down a
lot. So overall, reading PDF on DX is not a pleasant experience.
3.The best use of DX is to read cartoons, hehe.

kindle3.It'slight,not expensive ($139).One charge lasts for several weeks.
If you enjoying reading, I think you should keep it. There are lots of free
novels/books on amazon and many of them are very good. you can also
transform txt, word files into kindle version using Mobipocket Creator (I
have all 金庸古龙小说on my kindle, haha）.
