pocket KK
one loose guy bet 16$, one guy called I reraise to 68$ he called.
flop 998 he check, I bet 150$, he still call.
turn is A, obviously I don't put him on AK or AQ, so I all in the left 150$
he called.
Guess what he had!

His flop behavior is strange. He check-called, not check-raised. He could
have:
1. pocket 9's. absolutely nuts and he can wait for your turn bet.
2. pocket 8's, similar to #1.
3. overpair such as pocket Qs or As.
I can't put him on anything else. Even a loose player shouldn't call your
big bets with just an overpair in his hand unless it's at least pocket Qs.
This is cash game, so even pocket Qs or As is too weak and should be folded.
I would like to put him on pocket Qs :)

well, last sunday i got 2 stupid lucky hands (1/2NL, lower stake than yours
of course).
first i got big problems with suited cards that i have to admit.
first winning hand that day, 3h7h, a lot of actions pre-flop, 7 players all
called a $15 bet. flop KhTh3s, turn 2c, river 7c. stupid me got lucky, beat
the last 2 players (JJ, QQ) with $200 pot.
second hand, i was big blind with 2d6d, button with KK. he bet $20, i called
flop 2s4d6c, he pushed another $20, i called again. on the turn (5s), i
che

For the "I-have-to-bet" part, do you mean "I-have-to-call" your all-in?
He doesn't have to call your all-in actually. The pot is about 170 and he
has 70 left. The board is coordinated and has a staright possibility. It's
kind of dangerous.
But what I don't understand is the preflop actions in your two hands. The
raises are $15 or $20, very large compared to the blinds. How could so many
people called so loosely? Maybe you guys are thinking in terms of absolute $
amount rather than the multiple o

sorry, it's "I-have-to-call". yeah, i agree, both were not even ok hands at
all, that's why i said stupid lucky. he's the type of players who can't let go
big pairs, and he didn't put me on a straight at all with that flop.
hehe, if i have to find an "excuse" to justify my actions:
1) the first one was because i still got obsessed with my previous hand (it'
s a bad thing i know) which i was beaten even with flush/stragiht draws on
the flop. i was low stake after it (i only brought $100 onto the

But seems, you made a bad call before the flop.
Longterm you will lose by your"stupid luck" for sure.

true, that's why i said "i got big problems with suited cards" (it's a
personal phycological shortcoming) which is risky in the long term.
so far i only have played 4 times (2hr + 4 + 2 + 6) 1/2NL in BM casinos, up
3 times with $1200 total, lost once for $38. for a beginner like me, it's a
good starting record but can't count on it.
each time i only bring $100 to the table, and may add another $100-200 in
the middle, but never over it.
whenever i get over $200, i'll immediately cash out to keep

in another sense, actually he's more "predictable" to me (what he may have
and why he bets like so and so), but he has less info. from me.
of course, if i keep playing like this loose or stay on the same table for
too long, he'll find out easily. that's why i only play about 20% crappy
hands like this now and then, and for most time, i have to see at least 2
useful cards on the flop to move forward. for ~$20 pre-flop, it's fine to me
unless somebody raises even more to break my phyco limit.

it is a good strategy for beginner.
how can you decide when to play
'20% crappy
hands like this now and then'?
