w******s 发帖数: 16209 | 1 I dropped by a poker room a few days back. I tried something really for fun.
Basically, I don't look at the
card and just play it in a short hand game. (heads up or 3 player left on
the table). I found it is a good
practice and actually winning money.
For continuous 10 hands, I bet, raise, check .. without look at my card at
all. the dealer was super surpised
and even the floor manager comes nearby to watch. During this kinda play, I
found I read people much
more carefully and try to guess the c | i********r 发帖数: 1153 | 2 hehe, i'll just push any ace against you...
fun.

He would read your action and his action depends on your action.
He would bluff when you show weakness and fold when you show strength.
This is typical in an online heads-up game.
But I believe to play this game, the player should be much better than his
opponent, or he will lose easily.
If I am the opponent , I will just check when I get good cards,to induce him
to bluff. I will also allin whenever he raises.

| i********r 发帖数: 1153 | 4 yeah, its a good way to practice read and all the stuff. but as soon as the
opponent realize that the average hand is Q7o and start to act aggressively
whenever he got better than average hand the game becomes a crapshoot.

Whenever the opponent allin, the other one has no way but to fold, because
he would never know if the opponent really has a good hand. | f*****g 发帖数: 15860 | 6 i've been doing this for a while in our coworkers games like i posted before
. i do all "blind" call/bet/raise/all-in/fold randomly, hehe.
there're some merits doing this:
1) like you said, you observe your opponents actions better;
2) you're now more unpredictable since you could bet/raise with anything IF you
do it RANDOMLY;
3) sometimes, especially at the beginning when you start to do it, ppl think
you're loose/wild, they might play tight for a few hands, but after that,
they get enough frus

| w******s 发帖数: 16209 | 7 one more note about this kinda play:
you are not doing like straddle or live bet. You do the action(bet/raise/
check) after you see other's
reaction. you will find the few seconds that you need to spend on looking
at the card is really precious
and you could get a lot of information from that few seconds.
Also, definitely people can't read you well in this case :)

| i********r 发帖数: 1153 | 8 This practice is definitely good for your game. Here's another practice I
suggest: raise on button no matter what hand you have when it folds to you.
CTS (online pro) said he did it for a while when he tried to open his game
up. I assume it would definitely help us to utilize our position better.
