Panda used to have only five fingers per hand when they were carnivore. Then
things changed, they could not find meat anywhere and have to eat bamboo
instead. To help holding bamboo stem tight, they evolved/self-developed an
extra thumb--the sixth finger.

keyboard using our five-fingered hands continuously, one of our marketing
guy dropped by and told us this story. And got the conclusion: we, engineers
, should evolve /self-develop an extra finger too...

If you want sixth finger, you have to play badminton using both hands. then
it is possible to get sixth finger on both hands after several generations...
