After a critical pounding caused his 1997 musical "The Capeman"
to close on Broadway after a very brief run, Paul Simon was
understandably frustrated.
And as he tells Timothy White in the current issue of Billboard,
"My feeling at this point in my life was that if I didn't make a
record that was extremely pleasant (if not seductively so) it
might not get listened to."
Luckily, Simon doesn't have to worry, as his forthcoming Warner
Bros. album "You're The On |
