？不理他们会不会影响信用度？
关键在于域名的注册公司根本事先没告诉我payment有问题啥的，我根本不知道这回事
，域名注册公司那里只有我的paypal帐号，地址，ssn他都没有，collector都能自己找

if your last payment is more than 4 years ago (applicable in CA, different
state may have different numbers), and you haven't told them that you do owe
them, tell them to drop dead. they can't collect any unconfirmed debt more
than 4 years old.
if you got phone call, just write down who is calling and their number,
search for "fair debt collection practices act", write them a letter to stop
calling you. don't say something like "yes I owe you but I don't want to
pay", that's the confirmation of your debt. 4 year clock start to tick again
.
you can ask them how what this debt is for (when, what for, likely they will
not have them. if they can't prove, forget it).
they bought these debt dirty cheap, (pennies for dollar), if they can extort
few debts out of hundred, they are still happy. The only way they can force
you to pay is via a court order. if the amount is small (few hundred bucks)
, they are not going to sue you.
I don't encourage to skip the payment, but this is my 2 cents. |

that.
if you do want to pay them (hope you will not), tell them to write a letter
confirm that this is pay-in-full, and release you from any further
liabilities. remember they bought your debt dirty cheap, what you are paying
is nothing to do with the company you really owe money to. the debt
collector keep your payment 100%. |

I did not feel that my credit score is affected. The issue is less than $100
. It is not worth them to make any other effort than send a letter or call
to collect that amount of "debt". |

我几个月通过电话被误导订了免费报纸，当时大意想反正只提供了地址和手机，也不可
能收钱，结果收了一份账单，当时没来得及理会，现在就转到收账公司了。
我想息事宁人算了，但是收钱网站居然要我提供SSN确认身份，然后就不敢还了。
现在还矛盾呢，还还是不还？或者写信去argue一下？
如果没有ssn 也没有信用卡 他们怎么report？ |
