Rumors Say The Nexus 5 Could Be Released This Month
This week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Senior Vice
President of LG, James Fisher, commented about the Nexus 4 and said LG was
working with Google developing several products.
Google uses the Nexus phones to persuade the development of the Android
operating system along with other Google products. LG, Samsung and HTC are
some of the mobile companies Google has a partnership with. We have yet to
see a Nexus device with the Motorola and Sony logo respectively. Fisher says
LG’s partnership with Google allowed them to produce the LG Nexus 4 and
that there were other projects on the horizon as a result of the Google-LG
affiliation.
The LG Nexus 4 has been sold out for a few weeks now, one of the main
reasons is the remarkable features the device has and combined with its low
price tag made the demand outweighed supplies. Third party mobile retailer
LetsTalk has a two-year T-Mobile contract offer that includes the LG Nexus 4
for only $76.49.
Reports from The International Business Times say LG is slowing down the
manufacture of the LG Nexus 4 to give way for upcoming devices. Rumors
around the blogosphere say that the Nexus 5 will sport Key Lime Pie, a 2GHz
quad core processor, multiple user profiles, twitter integration and longer
battery life. It is also said that the Nexus 5 will feature a 3,000mAh
battery and an 18-megapixel camera.
Although Key Lime Pie has not yet been announced by Google, we believe the
release date could be soon.
