want to grow some bamboo for bamboo sprout, but i do not want to grow those
kind of bambo that produce the large bitter sprout that you can find in the
chinese grocery store, I want the thinner bamboo sprout?

春天的时候版上讨论过竹笋的问题，精华区里应该还能找到。今天看到游士贴的
special offer,我又找了一下以前存的两个卖竹子的网站。

在下面这个苗圃评价网页上都还行，没有负面的。

我在找的笋用竹要求跟你相似，希望口感和味道都好过店里卖的。另外为防止窜根，我
只看丛生型(clumping type)。结论是绿竹(Bambusa oldhamii) 和吊丝球竹（Bambusa
Beecheyana,又称大头典，吊丝丹）。但是这两种竹子都是南方的，能抗的最低温度-5
摄氏度。你那里肯定不行。
窜根型(runner type)的竹子更多，可能有适合你的要求的，你可以仔细找找。

at the end of our yard, far away from my house, not too far awy from my
neighbors:-) just kidding!!
