主要想请教一下，这第一年种下的花，是不是开完都得掐掉，不让它们结果？

Just to clarify. Are the years you give the age before the tree should
produce fruit, or the number of years after the Starke tree is planted? I
planted your 2-N-1 Plum tree last year and this year it is full of fruit. Is
this considered year 3 and I can let the fruit get fully ripe or should I
be removing them? Thanks

Hi Marge! The year-markers are after a Stark tree is replanted in your yard.
Some trees are more vigorous producers – plums are no exception. There are
a lot of factors that may make a tree bear fruit earlier or later than the
approximate years here. Like other things in nature, a tree may try to bear
fruit before it’s “old enough.”
We recommend picking off blooms &/or small fruits during the first year or
two, so the tree is allowed to continue strengthening & growing. This will
also keep a tree from bearing bi-annually (which can occur when it taxes its
resources so much one year, it takes 2 years to recover).

发帖数: 2997 | 4 要看你喜欢短期目标还是长期目标。要想树长得好长得快，俺建议第一年把花苞掐掉，
连花也不让开。
