Pulling weeds and picking stones, man is made of dreams and bones.
Feel the need to grow my own 'cause the time is close at hand.

to my body and my brain to the music from the land.
Plant your rows straight and long, thicker than with prayer and song.
Mother Earth will make you strong if you give her love and care.
Old crow watching hungrily, from his perch in yonder tree.
In my garden I'm as free as that feathered thief up there.

同墙茅屋来，有地十亩余。
蒿蓬杂毒草，壅闇恶木俱。
岁久人迹绝，乱穴狐虺居。
今晨杖藜出，顾步良踌躇。
默嗟咫尺间，荒秽侵吾庐。
散米饭群仆，操具亟剪锄。
攘剔先丛棘，斩伐多高樗。
乘湿束故急，积供爨我厨。
耕土如蒸面，治畦将种蔬。
时雨近沾洽，膏脉涵如酥。
问邻地所宜，嘉种愿乞诸。
异有出戎夷，远或传蜀吴。
根移甘或辛，色剖玄或朱。
芜菁饭之半，布艺广数区。
牙甲助芬味，琐细不可无。
霜降百物肃，御冬必此须。
居贫寡营办，亲宾间招呼。
盘飧多造次，粗粝鲜毳腴。
收藏资举筋，率野真腐儒。
澹薄味可久，万钱非我图。
樊迟请学圃，予今老为模。
但愧公义休，拔葵谢园夫。
李复（１０５２- １１２２年），字履中，长安人。神宗熙宁十年（１０７７年），登
进士第，入仕为熙河转运使、中大夫、集贤殿撰。
以博学称著关中，世称潏水先生。有著作《潏水集》，今存《四库全书》中。李复为张
载后期弟子，无书不读，犹钻横渠气学，是世所公认的张载后关学正传之人。李复躬行
礼教，深忧边患，在其晚年金人南侵关中时，被起用为秦州知事，于高宗建炎二年，在
秦州抗金殉难。
