An Ideal Man in My Heart

The meaning of "man" is very much loaded.
In fact, it is always the opposite sex--woman who made the verdict of this
very word.
If a man is a daylight, woman a night;
If he is a desire, she a lure;
If he is the agile fingers of a musician, she the trembling strings of a
harp;
If he is doomed to be tough and strong, then she is destined to be tender
and soft, and to be protected by him.
Today, I would not talk about men in general, since they are so many out
there and so different from each other, rather, I want to talk about the
ideal man in my heart.
Be a man short or tall, wealthy or poor, had a good job or not, nothing
defines my ideal man except his able to keep his beloved away from injury
and hurt.
By "his beloved", I not only meant his wife, but also his daughter, his
mother and his sisters. This "beloved " person, refers to all women around
him, who love him and need his care and protection.
It is easy for a man to protect his beloved for a while, but it is hard for
him to carry it on, and even harder on forward for a life long time.
The ideal man in my heart won't let me down, he won't make me cry, won't
make my daughter cry. When time comes, he will always stand there firmly,
like a big old oak on the heights, shielding us and supporting us, forever
long as we all shall live.
