前不久他不是烧糊了爪子吗,我以为没事了.他表现的也是没事猫一只.该吃吃,该喝喝,
该玩儿玩儿.结果昨天回家发现他走路一瘸一拐的,吃饭的时候右前爪还抬着.仔细检查
发现有血泡.这一晚上就没睡踏实.今天一早马上约兽医。还好有个11点半的空缺。一路
哀嚎着去了。体温正常，眼底正常，心跳等也正常。再看爪子，除了血泡别无大事。医
生说 "he won't lose his pad, it's going to heal on its own, but he's going
to be limping for the next couple of days。" 然后挨了一针。
过秤又重了两磅。
我: Do you think he has some kind of Maine Coon blood? He's quite long.
医生: He very likely may. I'll say he does if that makes you feel better.
But he still needs to lose weight.
春节回国，回来后必须当后妈了。
荷包里少了90刀。 |

Java is now 9lbs @ 5 months old...
I can't wait till he gets to 20lbs!! I love big cats~~
PS. Java is a Bengal...and the doctor said he can get pretty big and
muscular...

发帖数: 5148 | 18 He has 1/4 cup of dry food in the morning (a mixture of equal proportions of : Evo Turkey and Chicken, Innova Cat and Kittyen, Blue Buffalo Adult Finicky Feast, Diamond Naturals Indoor for Hairball Control). This is fed via the automatic feeder, which is supposed to be for both cats. But he manages to devour most of it.
Then before I leave for work, I give them a 5 oz or two 3 oz canned food. These never get finished, sometimes almost untouched if they both don't like the flavor. When I get home in the evening, they are again fed a 5 oz or two 3 oz cans. Again, they don't get finished completely. I have to do the 3 oz because they like different things. The only 5 oz cans I have are Wellness Core chicken. But they won't eat the same thing two meals in a roll.
His favorite is Wellness tuna pouch, he also likes Wellness Core chicken, Wellness chicken duck shrimp pouch, and anything seafood flavored. Cocoa likes poultry flavor. However, none of them like Weruva.
I don't think I am feeding him that much ah. Compare to Cocoa, his weight is twice as heavy, his teeth size is twice as big, his nails are twice as thick and long, his pee size is twice as big, his body length is much longer, but his poo size is not. Maybe he just
digests too well?

strange. weruva is the safest choice for initial food change since most
of their flavors are juicy which give cats time to adapt.Maybe you can mix a
little bit weruva paw lickin' chicken or steak frites or grilled tilapia
in their favorite can food. Weruva has very low fat and fairly low carb.
I am not suggesting using weruva alone though since it has too low
fat content.
Another thing is to find out which of the dry food that you are using
has the highest carb or fat, and replace it with something fairly low
carb/fat.
My cats also leave can food untouched if they don't like the flavor.
But I won't use that flavor a second time except for other special purpose
(for example, one of my cats feels only so-so with weruva paw lickin'
chicken.
But I still mix it in her food sometimes because she tends to eat too
much seafood.) So they mostly have what they like. |

我都是每顿先喂掺了水的３oz罐头一个，不吃干净就不喂干粮（两猫合吃1/2cup）。一
般是１０分钟之内唐唐把汤舔干，然后娇娇来吃肉，最后两猫再吃干粮。 |

low fat/carb can food for your cats.
I have one big finicky cat who basically only ate friskies before.
I tried to change her diet several times but failed. In October, I finally
decided to give a last try since she was having serious diarrhea which was
caused by Friskies. Then I spent two months on food trial and finally
completely eliminated Friskies out of her diet. During that period, she
was losing weight quite obviously at the beginning, because I mixed other
low fat/carb food in her friskies can food. Of course, I don't really want
her to lose weight since she has been at around 15 to 16 lbs for several years.
That's why I only mix in one or half spoon weruva occasionally.

发帖数: 2017 | 29 我觉得是你家cocoa吃得太少了，主要都被陪陪吃了。我家两猫吃的差不多一样多。娇
娇有快1２磅多一些了。不过他们都还被vet认为还挺fit的，就是个头比较大，肌肉比
较发达。

for two cats (combined weight 21 lbs), served in three
meals. Dry food available 24/7. Occasionally the older
cat will eat some treats (CATSWELL Chicken breast with
mint&parsley which is low fat too)
I often use three or four different cans at the same
time, mix some of them, and then put the rest unused parts in
refrigerator. I don't want to rely on one brand of food
since even if one brand/flavor has problem, I can easily
switch it out later on.

They don't get mixed, but rotated. As you said, don't want to get stuck on
any one particular food.
Maybe I should cut down their treat intake. I give each them a few pieces (
6 - 8 bite sized Halo Liv-a-little chicken) after brushing their teeth
before bed time.
