长，附有breeder对几个关键问题的答复，contract，小狗照片附在最后。
Breeder是一个中学的特殊教育老师，40岁的白人大妈，自己有4只King Charles， 自
称hobby breeder。Breeder很有耐心，解释很多知识、接受照顾训练小狗的方法。我选
择的狗是她的second litter，有7只puppy（很高产）。
去Breeder家看过小狗，家里整个地下室都装修成了工作间，有专门的小狗的nursury、
有摆放大狗crate的专门区域、有专门的工作区域，家里非常整齐、干净！
Breeder坚持要求照看小狗到第10周，会有各2次的dewore和vaccine，第8周会开始
crate training。有一年的健康保证。
下面是我看过小狗后给Breeder的一些问题及她的回复：

I enjoyed today's visit very much! Since having a puppy might mean a total
lifestyle change, I have a couple of questions before I make the decision:
1\ When did you start breeding King Charles spaniel(you mentioned in our
first phone call, but I couldn't recall it)?
2\ I will be out of town every other months for conference meetings, which
takes 3-7 days. According to me, pet boarding offered in those pet stores
looks more like a "prison", so I prefer friends or other loving caregiver
like you. So I am wondering do you provide service for pet boarding/
overnight caring/pet hotel? If you do, how do you charge? And what could be
the solution if I will be on vacation/be abroad for 1-2 months.
3\ Could you send me the file/scan copy of the contract?
4\ Do I have to come to sign the contract by person? Or we can do that
online, and I can mail/wire you the deposit.

Hi YYYY,
We also enjoyed today's visit with you and your friends. I think my
female Angel fell in love with your friend !!!
This is our second litter. We have only been breeding for one year. We
would be considered a Hobby Breeder. However, we have consulted and
have been guided thoughout the process by a women that has been
breeding Shih tzu's for over 30 years. (That is the only breed I am
aware of there may be others) You may contact her at ZZZZZZZZ her name is
JJJJJ. If you google TTTTTTTTTTTTT their
website will come up for you to view. We take our dogs there on
occasion for grooming only. Our plans are to only have 2 more litters
with Cassie and have her spayed. If Gemma gets cleared by our
Veternarian we will let her have possibly 3 or 4 litters before having
her spayed also. This is not business venture for us as many kennels
are. Our dogs are our pets first, we love them dearly, and would never
put them at risk.
I would indeed advise you to stay clear of any kennels, and or dog
boarding facilities, they are not what any of us would want our pets
staying in. I do provide services for our puppy families only at a
charge of $10.00 per day. I do request that you provide enough food
needed for your puppy/dog for the duration of their stay. I will need
number in which you can be contacted at in case of an emergency. Your
Veterinarian's phone number, and a copy of you puppy/dogs up to date
rabie/vaccine record. In addition depending on the time of year a
receipt to show proof of flea medication. I would like advance notice
of dates that you would need as early as possible. If in an emergency
situation were to occur I would do my best to accommodate you and the
puppies needs. We would also need to come up with a signed agreement
that if the puppy/dog needed emergency treatment and or surgery while
you were abroad we would have your permission for treatment, after
speaking with you.
I spoke with my husband and we would be willing to come to the Amherst
area and possibily meet with you at a Tim Horton's, or place of your
choice. We do frequent that area to buy our dog food. I like to go
over each of the contract stipulations one by one with our customers
so that both parties concerned understand all the terms listed.
After I send off this email, I will pull up the contract and email it to you.
I am very impressed that you have given so much consideration to
becomming a dog owner. It would be wonderful to place one of our
puppies with you.

SALES AGREEMENT
This sales contract entered into this _____ day of _______ 2011
between XXXX (seller) and

(herein after referred to as a buyer) residing at ________________________

With a telephone number of ____________.
In consideration of the sum of $ 800.00, such being the purchase
price, and all mutual promises contained herein, seller promises to
and does hereby deliver and agree to transfer ownership to a buyer of
a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel dog, of ___________ sex, whelped on
December 10, 2011. Sired by Dolce out of Cassie.
A non-refundable deposit received $_______ balance due $_______ by
cash on ________________.
1. This dog’s health is guaranteed to be good to the best of the
seller’s knowledge, at the time of sale. The buyer has a health
guarantee extending from the time of sale, for seventy-two (72) hours
in which to have above stated dog checked by a licensed veterinarian
and is urged to do so. If the veterinarian finds anything seriously
wrong with the dog (excluding internal or external parasites i.e.
Coccidiosis, Giardia), it will be exchanged for another dog of equal
value at once or when one is available or a full refund of purchase
price will be given to buyer (dog must be returned to seller). Buyer
must provide, as evidence, a letter from a licensed veterinarian
regarding the dog’s illness, and the dog must be returned within the
herein specified guarantee period.
2. If any treatment is needed for above stated dog (within 72 hour
guarantee period), it will only be done by sellers licensed
veterinarian, without exception. Seller will not be responsible for
buyer’s veterinarian bill. For out of State buyers seller will only
cover equivalent of sellers veterinarian prices (letter from buyers
veterinarian is needed) which will not exceed the price of the dog.
3. Seller guarantees a replacement dog of the same value in case of
death do to genetic disease for one (1) year following the birth date
of the dog.
(4) Buyer further agrees to take said dog to a licensed veterinarian
for remaining vaccination shots, de-worming etc. This dog has been
de-wormed on a regular basis and has all vaccinations up to date. See
health record.

(5) The seller assumes no responsibility on this dog after leaving
the premises for medical expense, mortality, landlord’s disapproval,
allergy to animals, disagreement of family, or for any other reason
unless specifically stated by this contract. In the event that buyer
becomes unable to care for above stated dog, buyer agrees that the dog
will be returned to the seller for further placement at a facility or
agent of sellers sole choosing.
(6) It is further agreed that the dog will not be resold by the buyer
to any pet shop, dog farm, or agent for any reason whatsoever.
(7) In the event that any of the provisions set forth by this
contract and agreed by both parties entering into this contract are
not met by the buyer, this contract will be void.
(8) It is understood and agreed that no warranty or representation
has been made with respect to said dog, except as set forth in writing
in this agreement.
(9) Buyer further agrees to take above said dog to a certified
obedience school for basic obedience training.
(10) Buyer agrees to have said puppy spayed/neutered by the age of 6
months or Veterinarian recommendation.

tests, and certain diseases won't show up until the dog is one or two
year old. The breeder only has one year of breeding experience,
difficult to believe she knows a lot about the dogs. You are taking a
risk. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are prone to several genetic
diseases.
Remember breeder is for-profit, the fee ($800) she charged you is
pretty high. If I were you, I would rather go to a local rescue group
to adopt one.

very much limited in terms of the breed and age of dog. I do not see much of
chance of adopting a puppy less than 6 months old from shelter.

out of shelter and train them well for adoption (adoption fee is somewhere $
200-450 including all vaccines, neuter/spay, microchip, deworming,etc). Here

Also for 1st time dog owner, raising a puppy is very difficult. Go to a dog
training class (sometime local shelter offers free or very reasonable price
like $10). I adopted a one-year old dog lately, I still feel I could have
learned more before taking the dog home.

制在local周边地域，领养的选择几乎是0了。。。如果是领养一只狗也要250-400刀，
800刀从local breeder买一只健康的puppy也不算贵了。而且local breeder可以推荐
vet，可以提供pet boarding，可以回答我一些问题，算是额外的好处了吧。

出生的猫咪没法比的，感觉前者总是隔着一层戒心。不知道狗狗是不是也这样。。。 |

钱反而还要多费2周心思；而且还给了你们很好的免费“培训”，真的觉得没啥可挑的，
我的breeder不到8周就让我们领走了；而且狗狗都是关笼子里住的，不是那种family
raised，即使这种条件的breeder，我们都必须在狗狗出生一周之内预订，否则根本就
领不到小狗～～虽然小旺宝刚出生的时候关笼子，也没发现有任何social 问题，而且
potty train领会的据快
我们的breeder也不提供健康保证，只是口头承诺 stand back their puppies，有基因
问题退给他们，但是怎么可能退呢，人狗都bonding了，就算有问题你也会（至少我们
家会）想尽一切办法给狗狗看病，不可能丢回breeder的。 |

间里有额外的暖气，地上有那种像考古挖掘一样的格子，小狗放在格子里，不是笼子）
，其他大狗都不让进nursery,我们看小狗要脱鞋、消毒手脚才让进。所以，我对这个
breeder的第一印象就特别好，我觉得她就是把小狗当自己的Pet照顾的。

的区别是一见面就亲呢，还是要处一小阵才亲。我觉得狗是天底下最给点阳光就灿烂的
动物。

guarantee of dog heath and discounted boarding fee?), you still need to do
all these things in the future.Pet boarding is indeed a very convenient
service, normally it costs ~$20/day.
The puppy does look very cute, if you really like it, definitely it is worth

文章太长了，看了一点。 $800刀蛮合理的， 我这里Cavalier上千的。 觉得这breeder
还是不错的，照顾狗狗到10周，之后boarding才收$10刀一天。

Iams牌子的狗粮挺垃圾的，吃多对狗狗不好。 建议换其它好点的牌子。

old dog likes it, a dog trainer friend also highly recommended it. Some
other good brands were also mentioned in the following post:

You can mix a good brand dog food with IAMS, and change it gradually.

发帖数: 663 | 32 Iams的狗粮相当于麦当劳，好吃但是没营养. 常吃的话会引起健康问题如肥胖，生病。
4颗星以上的狗粮都可以考虑。 一个好的狗粮不但可以让狗狗健康成长，还可以延续它
的生命！
我家狗狗接回家后的第一顿就给他换狗粮了. 先mix一点，然后才逐渐增加份量，慢慢
等他的肠胃适应了再全换。。
