立马得病的，算pre-existing.但是后面又有一个30天内的vet last visit，我就糊涂
了。要是我30天内不带猫去检查，难道保险就永远失效了？
* Waiting periods
As is standard in the industry, there is a waiting period on Petplan
policies before accidents and illnesses can be considered coverable. Your
pet’s accident or injury coverage will begin twenty-four (24) hours after
the policy becomes effective. There is a fourteen (14) day waiting period
after the effective date of the policy during which we will not cover any
illness of your pet. There is a (6) month exclusion on cruciates and
patellas (please see below for more information). The waiting period will
not apply to any renewal of this policy if continuous coverage is maintained
.
* Pet’s last visit to vet
If your pet has not been examined by a primary care veterinarian within the
twelve (12) months prior to the effective date of the policy, you must have
your pet examined within the first 30 days. This examination will be used as
the basis for determining any pre-existing conditions.
We cannot stress enough how important it is for us to establish your pet’s
baseline of health as soon as possible. Without a baseline of health for
comparison, any condition which is noted in your pet’s first visit to the
vet must be considered pre-existing, even if it would have otherwise been
coverable. |

但检查出有问题的话很可能会算是pre-existing condition.
如果之前有一年内的检查记录就不必做这个。 |

她这个病，是可以治愈的，所以这次治好了，我的理解是，就不算pre-existing 了。
那是不是说，这次等病好了，我再去vet visit一次，才行？那我得等她好了再买吧，
万一比如今天买了，30天内没完全好，来不及了，没有30天内的vet visit怎么办？
还是说，反正30天内的不管，过了30天，没vet check，只要不是那种治不好的pre-
existing就行？
* Pre-existing conditions
One of the most frequently asked questions by pet parents is about pre-
existing conditions. Specifically: what are they and how are they determined?
At Petplan, we define a pre-existing condition as a medical condition which
first occurred or showed clinical sign(s) or symptoms before the effective
date of your policy or which occurred or showed clinical sign(s) or symptoms
during the policy waiting period. Simply put, if your pet has or had any
condition, whether diagnosed by your veterinarian or not, before enrolling
in a Petplan pet insurance policy, it is considered pre-existing.
However, at Petplan we recognize there are two types of pre-existing
conditions: those which can be cured, and those which cannot be cured. If
your pet has experienced a curable condition previous to enrolling in a
Petplan pet insurance policy, the condition, while pre-existing, may be
eligible for coverage after an exclusionary period. Providing your pet’s
medical history shows no further episodes of the condition subsequent to the
initial episode, coverage for the condition may be restored. For further

比如她得了这个病（是算做可治愈的），治好后在确认期（假设一年）内一切检查都正
常，那么如果两年后再生这个病，就是可以cover的

天哪，我实在不想给她打疫苗了
要不，我好歹先买了，几个月内不claim是不是就可以了？
她的病，上次也没说出个名堂来，反正吃了3周抗生素，3种，好了。那怎么说？连病因
，病名都没有

保险公司会需要她以前的疫苗记录，如果疫苗和生病是在一个vet那里看的话，保险公
司就会知道她的病史了。

我自从买了保险后从没用过。这些细节不很清楚。要不你再

只是不能保同样的病，生别的病还是能保的。
不过之前都不知道是什么病的话不知道怎么算。 也许你可以让医生开证明说是对疫苗
的不良反应？
