We had Skippy from kittenhood, he lived to train many litters of cats to the
rules of the house. He also trained Sparky, our dog, that cats ruled the
house.
He looked pretty good until his last year. Somehow he would make it up on
to the breakfast bar every day and meow, meow, meow every time anyone walked
by.
Then he lost one of his fangs...giving him a really odd look as he meowed
all day.
No one could believe how old he was. I think, if he had lasted another year
, he may have tied the World Book record for oldest cat.
Altough he would eat like a horse, he looked like a bag of bones in a fur
coat.
He was a very special cat, grew up with our kids, even the grandkids. We
all missed him when he died.
All of our other house cats lived from 7 to 12 years.
