according to NASD rule, if you want to be a pattern day trader, you have to
maintain a $25,000 account balance. otherwise, your trading freedom is greatly
confined; say, you cann't buy and sell the same equity more than 4 times
within x day. that's gonna kill you in a volatile market. that makes you a
sitting duck or a mouth-watering opportunity-seeker when the market moves.
it's unfair to starters like students, but a rule is a rule (effective as of

股票一天天涨, i didn't execute my pre-set stop order (hope you understand
"stop"; in this case, i mean "mental stop", not "technical stop", or a stop
order submitted to my brokerage.)
认输 cover 的时候已经亏大了. 那一阵子我几乎几个礼拜才洗一次脸. 拼命的盼着股
市跌.
现在我已"涅磐"; 变成了一只机灵的熊熊, 调戏笨牛. 有时也与牛共舞.
其实吧, 只要遵守纪律, 一个老 trader 想亏损, 是 100% (you hear it right, 100%)

on top of theories (which come from classes, and books; i was a business
major in college and my Masters academic field was economics),
零零碎碎的经验(从实战中来, 也很可能是偷的别人的经验), 加苦思, 归纳总结, 找出规
律, 观察什么时候规律失灵反常, 等等.
你说所谓"直觉", 也不过是从上面所述的苦行中升华得来的.
要有变态一般的执著与不在乎, 冰雪丽人一般的冷静与自信, PHD candidate 一般的科学
