发帖数: 4260 | 4 嗯。600有点低，但是10"的体积小。那个acer的11.6"，有点大了。
试过一下，感觉做工有点粗糙，平平的键盘不太好用，更大的问题是太慢了，
用了更慢的Z520弥补大屏幕导致的shorter battery time，整体感觉
比较sluggish，明显不如Atom 270那些10"的。
不过$289仍然是不错的deal。现在还有这个deal吗？

Did the acer have vista or xp?

Not here anymore.
Anyways I have a Dell mini 10 too and I dont like it because of the low
resolution and the 1GB memory.
The acer machine uses the same cpu as mini 10. The cpu is okay for me. I
plan to install xp on the acer so it should run fine.

I saw it at Costco.
Dell Mini 10 is also slow - it has Z520. The Mini 10v has
the faster Atom 270.
I'm curious why you need larger memory on a netbook, though.
What applications are you going to run on your Acer? I used to
have an MSI Wind and I was able to run vmware on it, and Windows
XP inside the VM and I was able to watch PPStream inside the VM.
It worked just fine.
I also had a Dell Mini 12 which had Z520. It was much slower

windows at the same time.
I am curious about you running vmware on MSI Wind. I'm surprised it
worked well. What was the base OS?

发帖数: 4260 | 13 I usually opened about 5-10 tabs in browser and it was OK.
The host OS was also Win XP. The nice thing about MSI Wind
is that you can use 2 keys on the keyboard to overclock CPU
to 1.8G or underclock it to 800M, which is really useful when
you are watching full screen flash videos, although still
slow for full screen at 1.8G.
