and even worse than before. How about Thinkpad compared with HP and Sony?
Another question is which model of Thinkpad is better. I am considering
X100e and X120e. Is it true that X100e has some serious problem and X120e
fixed that?

觉得thinkpad不行了。
不过用了一圈之后还是回到thinkpad了。
只能说，thinkpad质量的确不如以前了，但还是比其他家强些。
x120e比110e强很多。不过这俩还都属于netbook，很多人买来当二奶机的，
如果你要正儿八经的工作机，还是去看看T410或者x201(t).

I notice that actually the price of x120e is LOWER than x100e. Does that
make sense?
Also, I am curious about to what extent a NETBOOK can suffice my work. I
used to have a x32 and basically just use word processing, internet browsing
and occasionally for some low-end game such as 1st generation CS, Starcraft
... Do you think netbook like x120e and x100e are enough for my purpose?

x120e刚出，还没用上。不知道究竟怎样。
不过，根据评测，你的这些需求x120e肯定能满足了。

is evident.
Try something else. such as Dell Alienware, Dell precision, HP Elitebook,
Mac, SONY Z
you might discover that the general upholding of Lenovo thinkpads is merely
the artifact of general perception that "thinkpad is cool, back in college I
do not have money to purchase a T60, now I do and I can be cool now".
Personally I can testify that the above mentioned models from other
manufacturers are as good as, if not better than lenovo thinkpad counter
parts.

笔记本）整体的定位变化了。
thinkpad刚开始的时候是作为高端商务用品出现的，那时候的价格恐怕很多人还有印象
。针对这样一个定位，那用料各方面确实都是上乘的。
后来，随着整个行业大众化，定价下来了，定位也就不可避免的下来了，这也是ibm退
出这个行业的原因，倒不见得真的跟lenovo进来有什么关系。或者说这两件事情都是同
一个原因的结果，两个之间却不见得是因果关系。
Elitebook我不了解，Alienware和Mac的定位（和定价）现在都不比thinkpad低。而且
更重要的是Z，Alienware和Mac的风格和thinkpad太不一样，我觉得属于给不同的受众
用的-----LV的包包做得再好也不适合登山的时候背，对吧

the thing is, people still think TP should bear the top quality, which would
eventually disappoint them
