Mass., as the other good schools are all private. So, in Mass, many smart
kids, whose families are not rich enough to support them for private schools

Prof T became NAE member long after he left UMass.
People even rumored he would not be elected if not at Caltech --- of course it is wrong in my opinion.

until 1999 when US News stopping ranking the discipline of polymer

天感觉不错，人都很热情，第二天非常不professhional，每一个人都显得懒散，有一
个教授跟我面谈居然当面狂打哈欠，最后offer给了一个自己系尚未毕业的白人学生，
明显暗箱操作，那个学生当时估计只有一片第二作者的journal论文，已经被内定为接
班人了，一年以后该系的系主任也跳槽了，去了个三四流学校再做系主任 |
