在1and1上面还有两个免费空间
(totally 3 different accounts)
试图指向那个域名，结果1and1说
Check result This domain name is already registered.
Would you like to initiate a Transfer of Registrar?
问题是这个transfer要钱。。。
我交了钱，却发现第一个hosting server ip被中国屏蔽掉了（当前域名hosting）
第二个没问题，但是我试图用第二个hosting space指向我的域名的时候，
1and1还要收transfer的钱！:(
谁给解释一下这个正常吗？还是我比较弱没搞明白？ |

我看了前面的讨论，发现godaddy的网站在国内访问比较困难，
不知道这个问题有没有出现在1and1？
另外是广告的问题，godaddy的免费主页空间是带有广告的，

错, 打电话, email, tech都说搞不定, 要high level的admin, 到现在, 快三天了, 还
是没搞好, 结果网站现在一直都指向1and1的默认页面, 我操, 1and1怎么这么烂啊, 还
敢开门做生意, 准备60天一到就转走.
各位,有什么办法complain么, 出了直接向1and1 complain外 |

1and1's free privacy is the biggest attraction to me.
1and1's biggest problem to me is it takes them 24 hours to register a domain
, so you can't get it right away.
I can configure google apps with 1and1 so it works fine for me. I can live
with its lack of other dns features. |

is cheaper with probably the worst functions. However, if you are only going
to do simple things like point a domain to an IP address, it works. If you
really want to do complex thing with 1and1, you can use those free online
DNS service and configure it there. Not worth the time though. |

低价也是建立在减少feature的基础上的。
很多普通的功能如果需要，就要加钱。
比如，他的private registration每年就要十美元。
1and1是免费。
关键在于，1and1现在价格也下来了，虽然没有godaddy便宜，但
质量好地多。
大家有经验吗？
而且，换服务商和注册商好像会损google排名。 |

one thing i feel good about godaddy is that they update their whois and dns
server fast. long time ago i had one domain in 1and1, it took almost 2 or 3
days for them to get the DNS server updated and synced to other DNS servers.

domain parking with google.com, 1and1.com can not do. Also, it only support
5 subdomains. The DNS edit panel is too simple to be powerful.
The godaddy has one of the fastest update speed. But other register is not
slow anymore. Usually, they will say with in 24 hours. 3 years ago, they
normally say 72 or 48 hours.
I am not sure about your hosting company's DNS server.

RACK上, 或者RACK的带宽被用得比较狠, 不一定有优势, 真正要有需要, 要租上至少1/
4个RACK, 自己装个好点的ROUTER/FIREWALL, 这样两个机器之间的通信比较快才行, 另
外数据库服务器要弄上RAID加多个硬盘才行, 不是随便去1AND1 订上两个DEDICATED的

be notified sooner whenever a problem strikes.
You cannot do anything for event like 1and1 massive server down though. |

啊。customer service响应很快，问题几分钟就解决了。网站的界面也做的不错，简洁
明了。没有烂七八糟的广告。
相比之下，1and1简直就是渣。customer service如果能够在一天之类回复我都要烧高香
。网站更是相当的bloated，不管调入哪个页面都要等半天。 |
