我J-1 8月31号到期，这边的postdoc合同中止，新老板那边手续都还在办理。老板叫我
等待paper work done。 但是我已经从7月等到现在，一点回音都没有。每次问老板都
是这句话。感觉他也不太清楚J-1 transfer的手续，都是靠小秘来办。
我的问题，我做好最坏的打算。如果8月31号还拿不到那边的合同，我需要在美国再等1
个月吗？（J-1过期后好像可以再停留1个月）如果这没有意义，我就买个8月31号机票
回国算了。
还有个问题，J-1的2yr rule应该不影响B1/B2来美国开会的签证吧？

习2个月(汗，offer是6个月，因为要毕业答辩，5月份提前回国了)。8月份开始又以F1
身份来美读博士，现在博士第三年。打算申请waiver掉那闹心的两个月的J1-2yr
restriction.
看了版上置顶的攻略，非常有帮助，可是我的情况又跟博士后的情况不一样(J1
trainee，转F1)：
1.关于中国使馆的豁免，是不是只要附上国内的硕士毕业证就可以了？
2.国内单位的同意函件应该提交什么？要国内的学校出具同意书吗？已经过去三四年了
，这个可能比较困难。
3. 还有什么要特别注意的吗？

回答你的问题
1，出的话lg差不多有10来个的朋友圈，都是同事，每个都带家属的，这样的圈子（当
然还会扩大）还会寂寞无聊吗？
这个主要看个人性格，其实微软的中国人很多，有不少小的活动圈子，融入的话也不会
无聊。
当然Redmond这个大农村，逛街、夜店、K歌、下馆子之类显然没有上海方便。但自然风
光，开车自驾游的机会更多。
2，既然L2可以合法工作，为何去投行还要求绿卡呢？难道有工作范围限制吗？
4，对于签证、绿卡啥的我们都不是很了解还，到了5年如果还想留美是否lg的L1B就转
成配偶不能工作的h1b? 还有其他什么可能吗？
从法律上L2做任何工作都没有问题，但L2身份并不稳定，一旦你老公的L1身份有任何问
题（如换工作，职位变更，转L1B），你的L2身份就没了。
现在L1B拿绿卡时间非常长，基本上以L1B 3+2yr之内是不可能拿到绿卡的，虽然到期可
以转H1B，但想必你也知道微软的情况，5年之后的事情谁知道呢。而且L1B在微软美国

2010年4月至今这段，yield降低，spread不升高, 却反常降低。这是令人感兴趣之处。

还有一个招sr一点的位置（level II） 要求bachelor+2yrs experience
为我的perm（要求较低的那个）打广告的话
可能要求bachelor + 5 yrs 吗？ 可能进EB2 category吗？
就算是律师可以弄成要求 bachelor +5yr，给level II的要求还是 bachelor+2 yrs，是
不是矛盾了?

degree level and your company asks minimum MS, it may trigger audit. However
, as long as your HR has sufficient reason to justify the requirement, it
should be fine. Like my case, my job title in general only requires BS + 2
yrs. However, we had strong points as why my position required MS + 2yrs (
presented a list of previous employees in my position all had MS degree). It
passed without audit.
