先简单介绍一下情况,小弟我是公司出钱读MBA,学费一共63K$,现在跳槽去新公司,
因为在原来公司服务期限未满,所以要把学费付给原公司。新公司的sign on bonus 有
7W$,所以相当于新公司把这个学费付了,上来问一下税的问题,中文解释不好,就写英

Original company paid tuition : 38,000$, listed in W2 as taxable income

Married Joint filing.W2 income在$310K左右,没有什么其他收入,除了stock, ESPP
, RS的收益。用Turbo Tax填表,在input了几张stock相关的表格1099-B, 1099-INT后
,需补交的税一下增加好多,算了一下,short term stock gain-loss只有$4000左右
,但是仅从表格输入后增加的数字来看,这项需交的税是差不多$2000,算下来是48%的
gain的税率。这个我特别不明白了,根据我家的收入,capital gain的税率应该在33%
左右。我猜是不是输入这项收入后,我家的AGI相应增加,于是其他的以AGI为计算基础
的项目税率就增加了。对不对呢?

valued at 310k, asking 340k and deal closed around 340k. advertised only
once on Sat Straittimes Classifieds. in first two days, i picked up about
100 phone calls (Sat and Sun, full day, 10am to 10pm) and got about 50
buyers viewing my flat. there were about another 100 phone calls later in

i give you another example.
there is an area that very close to a good school. the 4rm HDB unit in that
area normally has valuation of 250k. next to that area, the 4rm HDB unit
normally has valuation of 240k. the valuation firm feels 10k difference is
reasonable considering the school factor.
however, everyone who wants to buy the 4rm HDB unit in order to be close to
that school has to pay 310k for the unit, because that school is a damn good
school. the resale supply and demand decides that onl

Very expensive.
My previous house is built in 2002. The land is 155K and the house total is
$310K. Exclude the agent cost, it left the builder only less than $140K. The
house have 2 living levels, walk-up attic with windows, 1 garage and walk-
out basement. The foundation is 24X36.

Now house value is 310k, loan 405k.
somebody said I could pay 5k to hire an attorney to force the bank to drop
the loan to decent amount due to my 26% downpayment.

背景,买房子到了最后一步,贷款550k,现在犹豫的是要做几年的贷款。
用loan calculator计算,
10年fix, apr 3, 每月还5310.84, 所有的interest是 87,300.92
15年fix, apr 3, 每月还3798.20 所有的interest是 133,675.82
20年fix, apr 3.5, 每月还3189.78 所有的interest是 215,546.83
30年fix, apr 3.625 每月还2511.38 所有的interest是 354,096.37
经济情况是双码工马上要孩,一年package大概310k,每月税前大概20k,扣七扣八后到
手12k。
房子买在只有小学好的地方,估计可以在这里住个10多年然后搬家,或者是说到时候又
有了点储蓄,可以直接再贷款买好学区的第二套房子。
所以不知道现在是用哪种贷款合适,10年的话每个月还款压力大,而且怕存不下什么钱
,好处是10年后就可以贷更多的款买第二套。
30年的话每个月基本没有还款压力,但是付30年总体利息好高,不过这样一年可以存不
少。

floorplan还行,没什么选的。
房子B:to be built, 4300 sft, 330k, best match floorplan and can pick up the
ideal lot. it is also very convenice for comutting to work and school.
